Dorito Salad
This recipe originated in North Kohala, and is shared by Liz Bautista. Its a favorite of everyone of all ages. You can adjust the dressing according to your taste (more or less vinegar or sugar). Or add a variety of greens for texture. However, the crushed Cheese Doritos is a must!
1 lb. Romaine Lettuces
Wash each leaf throughly. Cut into 1/2 inch slices. Spin in a salad spinner. Set aside.
Dressing:
3 cups Best Foods Mayonnaise
2 cups White Sugar
1 cup White Vinegar
Blend together until smooth.
Mix the dressing with greens.
Top with grated Cheddar Cheese and Crushed Cheese Flavored Doritos.
